Here’s my eureka moment in using Ohm’s Law to show that in a series circuit with resistors, current is the same through each of the resistors. Remember – use the voltage drops across each specific resistor, not the overall voltage from the battery pack in Ohm’s Law

Support the show! tymkrs.com You can talk to us daily at our IRC chat (#tymkrs on AfterNet): qwebirc.afternet.org zombietech.tv Today we’re trying to prove that when resistors are placed in a series circuit, the total voltage available from a power source is divided into the resistors – this demonstrates the ability to find the amount of total power available in a circuit by adding the voltages each resistor takes up. Nothing like proof to help cement a simple lesson! Editor’s note: Addie is a total beginner when it comes to electronics. Let’s all leave her some encouragement in the comments!
